 | Admissions Epiphany at a Glance History Epiphany School was founded in 1958 by Dr. Elmer B. Christie, the Rector of Epiphany Parish. By 1968, the School became legally independent of the Church and moved away from its sectarian roots towards a model focused on academic preparation, inspired teaching, and individual responsibility.
In 2003, the School dropped its sixth grade and began adding one section per grade, grades pre-kindergarten through fifth. For over 50 years, Epiphany School has been educating the children of Seattle. The School has graduated nearly 1,000 students who often return to the School and increasingly bring their own children to receive the superior educational experience.
Accreditation Epiphany School is accredited by the Pacific Northwest Association of Independent Schools (PNAIS), Northwest Association of Accredited Schools, certified by the Washington State Board of Education, and a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).
