Admission Policies and Practices
|Admissions at Epiphany School: |
Through the admission of new students Epiphany School intends to build upon a student body well matched to the School’s philosophy and program. Epiphany School strives to attract a capable student body that includes a breadth of ability, ethnic origin, family structure, and socio-economic background.
The following factors are important considerations in the admission of new students:
Pre-kindergarten: Applicants must be age 4 by May 31 of the year of the application.
Kindergarten: Applicants must be age 5 by May 31 of the year of the application.
Siblings of students currently enrolled at Epiphany School are given preference for admission consideration. Sibling applicants must adhere to the School’s age requirements as well as demonstrate academic and emotional readiness for admission. Parents of a sibling applicant must apply at the first available opportunity for placement. If parents of siblings neither apply at the first opportunity nor accept an offer of enrollment, the preferred sibling status is forfeited.
It is the role of the Admission Committee to determine which students are best qualified for admission. A number of criteria may be applied to reach this determination such as academic and social assessments through the school visit, review of the application materials, and parent interviews.
