Your Student's Art - Suggested Price $75

Morse code is a detailed system of dots, dashes, and spaces used to represent numbers, punctuation, and letters of the alphabet. Each student received a Morse code lesson in which they were asked to convert their name to Morse code and answer a series of personal questions.

The result was a single masterpiece as well as individual student pieces (pictured at left). Each piece is as unique as each student. Using digital design technology, the piece visually communicates a hidden message. The individual pieces are a series of 28 questions - most are single word responses (we believed in keeping it simple!). Due to the complexity of the piece, it can take years to decipher it all - scholars will work diligently to decode (and what an in-home party talking point!). When finally decoded, you never know what you might learn! You can watch a video about the process here.

Some interesting student observations:

  • Hands down, our students overwhelmingly dislike Brussels sprouts - this is not reflected in the masterpiece and should be considered when creating family dinner plans.
  • We have a significantly high number of students who aspire to play professional sports - each parent is responsible to share the unfortunate news that less than 1% of all student athletes play a professional sport. The masterpiece is not intended to crush dreams.
  • The masterpiece represents a snapshot in time of your children’s favorite things in 2020 – a great opportunity to memorialize an opinion to laugh about later with your student(s).

Your child's name will be printed on the bottom right hand corner, and the original questions will accompany your child's art.

Cocktail Kits - $100

Sound Spirits was Seattle’s first craft distillery since prohibition, opening in 2010. Sound Spirits forged the way for many of Washington’s current distilleries. In December of 2019, Sound Spirits closed its doors and the distillery was purchased by Epiphany School parent Jamie Hunt of Fast Penny Spirits.

Leveraging the space, Fast Penny will be launching a new American made amaro this year called Amaricano. Amaro is an Italian bitter-sweet herbal liqueur that is commonly consumed as an after-dinner digestif or as a modifier in cocktails. Jamie is excited to launch an American take on this timeless classic. Jamie and Jason Hunt have graciously donated the last of the Sound Spirits inventory. Visit FASTPENNYSPIRITS.COM to sign up for updates and look for Amaricano in bars and on store shelves later this year!

The Cocktail Kit includes:

  • 1 Bottle of Ebb + Flow Old Tom Gin
  • 1 Bottle of Madame Damnable Whiskey
  • 1 Bottle of Depth Cacao
  • 1 Bottle of Depth Menthe
  • 1 Bottle of Depth Chile or Depth Ginger (choose at Checkout)
