GATHER FAQ's

What is GATHER 2020?

GATHER Epiphany is an every other year event that raises money for Epiphany School’s financial aid program. The success of this event allows us to deliver on the promise of making an Epiphany School education available to all who are admitted. GATHER Epiphany is also an opportunity to come together as a school community and enjoy one another’s company—all over delicious drinks and scrumptious snacks.

What does GATHER benefit?

GATHER supports financial aid at Epiphany School.  We are committed to supporting families for whom tuition would otherwise be a barrier to attendance. The average tuition grant awarded in 2019-20 was $18,487. Students receiving tuition aid also receive a discount on Extended Day, Learning Skills, the school lunch program, after-school clubs, uniforms, and event tickets.

How much are we raising for financial aid?

The goal of the event is to raise $200,000, which is a portion of the annual budget for financial aid. Opportunities at GATHER to support financial aid include a special-items auction, Raise the Paddle, and Buy-Ins.

Who attends?

The whole Epiphany School community—parents, faculty, staff, and sponsors—comes together for one evening each year. It’s the cocktail party not to be missed!

What happens at GATHER?

Amidst the fun, friends, and food, we have a short program that includes:

  • The auction of the All-School Art Masterpiece. One lucky bidder will go home with a one-of-a-kind original! This year we will also be bringing back an old tradition, with individual art produced by each student available for purchase.
  • The auction of the Parking Spot of Your Dreams—bid for one year of hassle-free parking directly in front of Spock Hall!
  • Raise the Paddle for financial aid; all guests will be asked to make a financial contribution by raising an auction paddle in support of Epiphany School.
  • Did we mention the dancing? Yes, there will be dancing!

How can I get involved?

All families are encouraged to attend and take part by volunteering, bidding in the auction, raising the paddle, and purchasing Buy-Ins. Please email gather@epiphanyschool.org if you’d like to volunteer to help with party planning, buy-ins, videography, or anything else!
